Position Overview

Job Title: SAS DMS dbDocStore Senior Engineer

Role Description

Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration

Work includes:

• Developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
• Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
• The role requires hands on coding, architectural decision making and leadership skills. You bring in deep expertise in Java based implementations and strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and Microservices architecture. You will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and maintainable services, mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering excellence.
• It is preferred to have strong knowledge of document management systems and overall knowledge of enterprise content management domain including records management.

Your key responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Hands On design, development and deployment of microservices using Java full stack technology stacks.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects and devops to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Adhere and promote best practises and standards. Drive the code reviews, coding standards and mentoring junior members.

Your skills and experience

Must Have

• Overall experience of 10+ years with hands-on coding/engineering skills extensively in Java technologies and 3+ years of Google Cloud experience
• Extensive experience in Microservices based architecture, patterns and practices.
• Strong Experience with databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, development of REST APIs
• Prior experience working in Agile/scum environment.
• Solid understanding and practical application of microservices architecture & domain driven design.
• Good understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), databases (SQL & No SQL), Build tools (Maven/Gradle).
• Knowledge of the Architecture and Design Principles, Algorithms and Data Structures, and UI.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Desirable skills that will help you excel

• Strong problem solving, leadership capabilities and communications skills.
• Working knowledge of GIT, CICD, Gradle, DevOps and SRE techniques
• Prior experience of leading teams, mentoring would be a plus
• Understanding of AI

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or relevant technology & science
