Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SAS Data Integration Studio.
- Develop and optimize SAS Base and SAS Macro programs for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Work with data analysts, business users, and architects to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshoot issues related to data loads.
- Maintain and enhance existing SAS jobs, scheduling dependencies, and ensure timely data delivery.
- Implement performance tuning techniques for SAS jobs and SQL queries.
- Work with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata) for data extraction and integration.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and support activities.
- Collaborate with QA teams to assist in testing and resolving data discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of professional experience with SAS DI Studio.
- Proficiency in SAS Base, SAS Macros, SQL, and SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing best practices.
- Experience with relational databases like Oracle, Teradata, or SQL Server.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAS Grid, SAS Viya, or other advanced SAS environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
