Job Summary:
The SAP Workflow Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SAP business workflows to automate and optimize business processes. This role works closely with functional teams and end-users to deliver workflow solutions that enhance productivity and process transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom and standard SAP workflows for various modules (MM, SD, FI, HR, etc.)
- Configure workflow templates, tasks, events, and agents
- Integrate workflows with SAP Business Workplace, Fiori, and email notifications
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into workflow solutions
- Monitor and troubleshoot workflow issues and implement performance improvements
- Maintain and enhance existing workflows to adapt to changing business needs
- Document technical designs, configurations, and user guides
- Support end-user training and knowledge transfer activities
- Participate in upgrades, testing, and deployment of workflow-related components
- Ensure compliance with SAP standards and organizational development practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SAP Workflow development and configuration
- Strong understanding of SAP Business Workflow architecture and components
- Proficiency in ABAP for developing custom workflows, user exits, and enhancements
- Familiarity with SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, or HR
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP Fiori/My Inbox integration with workflows
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA workflow scenarios
- Knowledge of BRF+ for rule-based workflows
- Experience with workflow in SAP cloud or hybrid landscapes
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and documentation standards
