Job Summary:
The SAP Workflow Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining workflow solutions within the SAP landscape. This role ensures smooth automation of business processes, efficient task routing, and integration with SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, and HR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement custom and standard SAP workflows to support business process automation
- Analyze functional requirements and translate them into workflow solutions
- Develop workflow templates, tasks, and event linkages using SAP Business Workflow
- Troubleshoot and resolve workflow errors, performance issues, and escalation paths
- Collaborate with functional teams across modules (MM, SD, FI, HR, etc.) to streamline approvals and process flows
- Maintain workflow logs, technical documentation, and process designs
- Provide support during system upgrades, enhancements, and testing cycles
- Integrate workflows with SAP Fiori, SAP GUI, and SAP Business Workplace
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data handling policies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience working with SAP Business Workflow
- Strong understanding of SAP workflow architecture, event handling, and task management
- Hands-on experience with ABAP/OO for workflow enhancements and debugging
- Familiarity with standard workflows in SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, and HR
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA workflows and Fiori inbox integration
- Knowledge of BRF+, SAP BTP Workflow, or SAP Cloud Workflow
- Understanding of SAP roles and authorizations in workflow contexts
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and project lifecycle processes
