We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) Consultant to design, implement, support, and optimize transportation and logistics processes using SAP TM solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional expertise in transportation planning, freight management, carrier collaboration, and integration with SAP logistics modules.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical consultants to deliver scalable transportation management solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP TM implementations, rollouts, and support projects.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP TM functional solutions.
- Configure SAP TM functionalities including:
- Freight Order Management
- Freight Unit Management
- Transportation Planning & Optimization
- Carrier Selection & Tendering
- Freight Settlement
- Charge Management
- Transportation Cockpit
- Work on shipper and logistics service provider (LSP) scenarios.
- Integrate SAP TM with:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP EWM
- SAP SD/MM
- SAP GTS
- Third-party logistics systems
- Configure transportation lanes, locations, business partners, resources, and charge calculation sheets.
- Support interfaces using IDocs, APIs, SAP CPI, and middleware integrations.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve TM-related incidents and defects.
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP/development teams.
- Participate in cutover, hypercare, and deployment activities.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded TM.
- Good understanding of logistics and supply chain business processes.

- Transportation Execution

- Carrier Management
- Rate Management
- Experience in SAP TM integration with EWM, SD, MM, and GTS.
- Knowledge of transportation cockpit and planning profiles.
- Understanding of optimizer and manual planning scenarios.
- Experience with SAP Fiori applications for TM.
- Familiarity with SAP CPI / PI-PO integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP TM Certification preferred.
- Experience in global rollout projects.
- Knowledge of SAP Event Management or SAP GTT is an added advantage.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience in multi-country logistics operations.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
