SAP Transformation Leader - Director

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership role reporting into the CIO / technology leadership team. You will be accountable for enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, IT service management, and digital transformation across the firm.

You will set the IT vision, run day-to-day operations, and partner closely with the business to drive efficiency, client delivery excellence, and employee experience.

What You Will Own

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the firm-wide IT strategy aligned with business growth and the unique demands of a professional services model.
• Act as a trusted technology advisor to senior leadership, identifying opportunities where technology creates competitive advantage.

Enterprise Applications (Professional Services Focus)

• Lead the strategy, implementation, and continuous optimisation of core enterprise systems.
• Deep expertise required in professional services processes: Project Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Time & Expense, Billing, CRM, and related financial processes.
• Hands-on strategic experience with leading ERP platforms — SAP S/4HANA for Services (preferred).

Infrastructure, Cloud, Network & Security

• Own the strategy for scalable, secure, hybrid/multi-cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Ensure high-availability corporate networks that support distributed teams and client delivery.
• Drive cloud adoption, cost optimisation, and compliance.
• Own incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity, and regulatory/data privacy compliance.

IT Service Management & Operational Excellence

• Mature ITSM practices (ITIL preferred) covering incident, problem, change, and service delivery.
• Define and track KPIs that drive reliability, user satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Business Partnership, Data & Analytics

• Partner closely with Finance, HR, Operations, Procurement, and Client Delivery teams.
• Champion data and analytics platforms that surface the metrics that matter in professional services (utilisation, project profitability, revenue assurance, client satisfaction, operational efficiency).

Digital Transformation & Employee Experience

• Lead firm-wide digital initiatives that simplify processes and improve client delivery.
• Oversee HR and employee-facing platforms with a strong focus on the full employee lifecycle (onboarding → performance → learning → collaboration).

Emerging Technology & Innovation

• Evaluate and adopt Enterprise AI/ML, RPA, and Low-Code/No-Code platforms (Power Apps, OutSystems, Appian, etc.) to create tangible business value.

Project Delivery & Team Leadership

• Provide executive oversight of the IT project portfolio — on time, on budget, and high quality.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary IT organisation (applications, infrastructure, security, service delivery).

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. MBA or relevant Master's preferred.
• 15+ years progressive IT experience, including 5–7 years in a strategic leadership role (Head of IT / CTO equivalent) inside a professional services organisation.
• Proven track record of leading ERP programmes (SAP) in a services environment.
• Strong background in infrastructure modernisation, cloud strategy, and cybersecurity.
• Practical experience implementing and maturing ITIL-based ITSM.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale digital transformation.
• Solid understanding of professional services KPIs and experience leveraging analytics platforms.
• Experience with HR platforms and improving employee experience.
• Familiarity with Enterprise AI, RPA, and Low-Code platforms is a strong plus.
• Excellent executive communication skills and the ability to translate technology into business outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop geographically distributed teams.
