We are looking for a SAP TM Functional Solution Architect to lead design, solutioning, and delivery of Transportation Management transformations across global clients.
The role involves working across SAP S/4HANA TM / embedded TM, integrating with EWM, IBP, and ERP, and driving end-to-end logistics execution solutions aligned with Bristlecone's digital supply chain vision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end SAP TM architecture design across:
- Transportation planning & optimization
- Freight order management
- Carrier collaboration & tendering
- Freight cost calculation and settlement
- Define integration architecture across:
- SAP EWM, S/4HANA, IBP
- External logistics networks / carriers
- Drive embedded TM vs decentralized TM decisioning
2. Delivery Leadership
- Lead functional design for:
- Transport planning profiles
- Charge management / freight settlement
- Order management integration
- Manage large transformation programs across:
- Implementation
- Rollouts
- AMS enhancements
- Ensure alignment with Clean Core and SAP standard practices
3. SAP TM Functional Expertise
Deep expertise expected in:
- Freight Unit / Freight Order lifecycle
- Transportation planning optimizer (VSR / embedded optimizations)
- Carrier selection & tendering processes
- Charge management & settlement
- Master data:
- Transportation lanes
- Business partners / carriers
- Resources & capacities
5. Integration & Digital Supply Chain
- Integration with:
- SAP EWM (warehouse execution)
- SAP IBP (planning to execution handoff)
- SAP BTP (extensions / APIs)
- Work on end-to-end Plan → Deliver integration scenarios
6. Innovation & Differentiation (Important for Bristlecone)
- Identify AI / analytics use cases in logistics:
- Route optimization enhancements
- Predicted delays / disruption management
- Contribute to Bristlecone accelerators / solutions
- Drive differentiation vs standard SAP TM capabilities
Required Experience
- 10–18 years of SAP experience
- 6+ years in SAP TM (mandatory)
- At least 2–3 end-to-end SAP TM implementations
- Strong experience in:
- S/4HANA TM (embedded or decentralized)
- Logistics / supply chain execution
- Exposure to:
- EWM integration (preferred)
- Global logistics / 3PL / manufacturing networks
