About the role:

The Lead Business Analyst – Test Automation is a senior individual contributor responsible for defining and driving an automation‑first testing strategy for enterprise finance platforms. The role is deeply grounded in core finance domains including inventory, product and standard costing, financial close and reporting, controls, and regulatory compliance, with primary systems spanning SAP, SAC-P, IECS, finance data platforms such as Snowflake, and enterprise integrations.

Acting as a bridge between SI, IT, and Finance stakeholders, this role ensures testing rigor directly supports financial accuracy, control effectiveness, auditability, and operational readiness, using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) to deliver traceable, auditable quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and govern test strategy for enterprise finance systems, with emphasis on financial integrity, controls, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead test automation strategy for finance processes, including framework design, reusable assets, and integration.
  • Translate finance requirements (e.g., costing, inventory valuation, postings, reconciliations) into risk‑based test scenarios and automation coverage.
  • Ensure end‑to‑end validation of financial data flows across Finance applications and Snowflake, and downstream reporting systems.
  • Oversee defect triage with focus on financial impact, root cause, and prevention of control or reporting issues.
  • Support UAT, close cycles, release readiness, and production validation for finance‑critical changes.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Controls, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure shared ownership of quality.
  • Define and report finance‑relevant quality metrics (coverage of key controls, critical processes, and integrations).
  • Mentor analysts and testers; drive continuous improvement in finance‑centric testing and automation practices.

Test Automation & Tools

  • Automation frameworks and standards aligned to finance process risk and compliance needs.
  • Azure DevOps (ADO) for test planning, test case management, traceability to finance requirements, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Tool‑agnostic approach for UI, API, data, and integration testing, with strong emphasis on data validation.

How This Role Differs from QA/Test Engineering

  • Owns finance test strategy and prioritization, not just test execution.
  • Focuses on financial correctness, controls, audit readiness, and business risk, rather than generic quality metrics.
  • Operates upstream in requirements and design to prevent finance defects, not just detect them.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in business analysis, testing, or quality roles supporting enterprise finance systems, with senior/lead experience.
  • Strong expertise in test automation and Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes (inventory, costing, close, reporting) in regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders and influence without management responsibility.

Preferred Experience

  • SAP finance modules and complex ERP integrations.
  • Inventory, product costing, and standard costing processes.
  • Finance data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • IECS (Impact ECS) or other custom-costing applications.
  • Experienced with test automation tools such as UiPath Test Suite
  • Agile/DevOps delivery models and Testing or Quality Centers of Excellence.

Benefits:

At Calfus, we value our employees and offer a strong benefits package. This includes medical, group, and parental insurance, coupled with gratuity and provident fund options. Further, we support employee wellness and provide birthday leave as a valued benefit.

Calfus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

We believe diversity drives innovation. We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone—regardless of background, identity, or experience—has the opportunity to thrive. We welcome all applicants!
