Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) to lead day-to-day AMS delivery for a parallel SAP S/4HANA (Retail) landscape. The ideal candidate must possess strong domain expertise in either FI/CO or SCM, along with solid integration knowledge and proven service delivery leadership experience.
This role requires ownership of service governance, SLA/KPI management, stakeholder alignment, and technical oversight across interfaces, transports, and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Delivery & Governance
- Own end-to-end AMS delivery for SAP S/4HANA Retail landscape.
- Establish scope governance and post-discovery SLA framework.
- Lead Incident, Problem, and Change Management (P2P4).
- Chair CAB inputs and ensure functional RCA-only scope adherence.
- Drive Service Improvement Plans (automation, noise reduction).
2. Domain Expertise (Mandatory One Primary Tower)
Either Strong in FI/CO:
- GL, AP, AR, AA
- GR/IR, 3-way match
- Period close readiness
OR Strong in SCM:
- Inbound/Outbound processes
- ASN, STO, RTV
- Inventory, Cycle count
- TMS/WMS exposure
Working knowledge of the other module is required.
3. Integration & Interface Oversight
- Manage and monitor interface runbooks:
- ALE/IDoc
- AIF
- CPI / PI-PO
- Oversee job monitoring using:
- SM37, SMQ1, SMQ2, SM58, SLG1
- Ensure reliable 185 monitoring & 85 functional coverage.
4. Technical & Architecture Leadership
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture.
- Manage transports, retrofit cycles, freeze windows.
- Performance triage and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Basis, Infra, and external vendors.
5. Change & Release Management
- Translate issues into well-defined CRs (Minor vs Major).
- Define impact, regression scope, risk & backout plans.
- Own transport calendars and governance.
- Orchestrate dress rehearsals, cutover & hyper care for July 2026 go-live.
- Ensure interface sign-offs and close checklists.
6. Stakeholder & Team Management
- Manage RACI across:
- Customer IT
- Business SMEs
- L2 Ops
- L3 FI/SCM/Integration teams
- Third-party vendors
- Conduct weekly/monthly service reviews.
- Publish SLA/KPI dashboards (MTTA, MTTR, backlog ageing).
- Ensure proper KT, SOP, ICD, and Knowledge Base documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of SAP AMS / Service Delivery experience.
- Proven tower lead experience in FI/CO or SCM.
- Strong integration knowledge (ALE, IDoc, AIF, CPI, PI-PO).
- Experience in SLA/KPI governance and ITIL-based delivery.
- Strong stakeholder communication and onshore-offshore leadership.
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
