Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead with strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA technical development. The role involves leading a team of developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables, conducting reviews, and collaborating closely with functional and project teams to deliver robust, scalable SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA solutions.
- Guide and mentor the SAP technical team in ABAP, Fiori, BTP, and related technologies.
- Conduct daily stand-up calls with the team to review progress, assign tasks, and resolve blockers.
- Perform code reviews and unit test document reviews to ensure development quality and compliance with standards.
- Support team members with technical challenges and ensure adherence to best practices and clean core principles.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Manage development activities across DEV, QAS, and PRD environments following transport management processes.
- Prepare and share daily status reports and weekly summaries with project managers and stakeholders.
- Ensure all developments meet project timelines, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending system enhancements and automation opportunities.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Technical Development.
- Excellent command over Classical ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP).
- Expertise in:
- Enhancements: BADI, BAPI, User Exits, Enhancements Framework.
- Forms: Smart Forms, Adobe Forms.
- Data Modeling & Integration: OData Services, CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming).
- Fiori/UI5: Basic understanding of Fiori apps, extensions, and front-end integration.
- Performance Optimization: SQL trace, Runtime analysis, code pushdown techniques.
- Good understanding of SAP transport management, versioning, and release control.
- Exposure to SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and side-by-side extensibility is a plus.
Leadership & Management Skills
- Proven experience in leading a team of SAP technical consultants or developers.
- Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and allocate tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with functional, QA, and management teams.
- Experience in agile or hybrid project environments (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.).
- Proactive in risk identification and issue resolution.
