Role Description

We are replacing SAP Solution Manager (ChARM) with github based Devops CICD pipeline for our 20+ SAP ECC landscapes. This role owns the ongoing build-out, hardening, and day-to-day operation of this pipeline and will lead its extension to cover SAP RISE S/4 HANA landscapes as the organization migrates.

Your key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for SAP transport management, supporting SAPsystem installations and upgrades, and ensuring compliance with Financial industry regulations:
• Architect/Develop/support migration from SAP Solution Manager (SolMan)+ChARM to SAP Cloud ALM / GitHub/ JFrog Artifactory based DevSecOps tool chain
• Engineer custom code for modernizing and safeguarding the DevSecOps toolchain (in ABAP/Python/yml) for SAP RISE, GCP or on-premises hosted applications holistically.
• Develop and maintain the Github Actions pipeline: reusable workflows in the central github repo, the landing zone template repo and per-landscape yml configuration.
• Lead onboarding of landscapes onto the new Github based SAP SWL devsecops & develop onboarding runbook.
• Maintain & Troubleshoot end-to-end pipeline, failures across all layers ABAP/ODATA, RFC connectivity, Github Actions, runner networking, Firewall/TLS/Certificate issues.
• Integrate Audit-Requirements & SDLC-process-controls in SAP Development & Deployment-Workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve transport failures, deployment issues, system inconsistencies, and performance issues.
• Execute on the strategy to modernize the SAP Software Development Lifecycle for all SAP applications in Deutsche Bank.
• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS) to ensure secure and compliant movement of configurations and custom developments across SAP environments.
• Plan, implement, and manage SAP DevSecOps and SAP Software Logistics processes (e.g., Transport Management, SAP Cloud ALM, Github, SAP Solution Manager [including ChaRM])
• Optimize transport strategies and ensure compliance with best practices.
  

Your skills and experience

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

SAP/ABAP/BTP

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP System Administration/ABAP development with at least 3+ years of experience in SAP DevSecOps, SAP Software Logistics
• Strong understanding and hands-on SAP SWL using solman+ChaRM, Cloud ALM.
• Strong hands-on ABAP development on SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, ODATA services, SAP BTP RAP, SAP Build, SAP code inspector, ATC.
• CDS Views, SAP BTP devops, cTMS, SAP Integration suite - knowledge is preferred
• Proven software development skills (ABAP, Python, Scripting)
• Hands-on experience with GitHub, TMS, SAP Solution Manager CharM, SAP Cloud ALM for implementation.
• Working knowledge of SAP RISE with S/4 HANA operating model

AI

• Understanding of AI concepts, LLMs, Agentic AI, SAP Business AI and able to implement them practically in devsecops - preferred

Devops/Automation

• Practical experience with Github Actions/Workflows, establishing end to end DEVSECOPS pipeline for software delivery.
• Strong python devops related skills, REST/ODATA API clients, CSRF token handling, use of the cryptography library for RSA-PSS/SHA-256 signing.
• Experience with Artificate repositories e.g. Jfrog Artifactory or equivalent.

Cloud

• Strong understanding and hands-on experience of operating in cloud (e.g.AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Administration & operating experience in cloud based SAP environments (eg.SAP RISE, SAP BTP).
• Nice to have:
• Understanding of SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA modules, and SAP Fiori applications and familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible) for SAP automation is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and excellent communication skills to collaborate with IT teams.
