Role Summary

Owens & Minor is seeking an experienced SAP Supply Chain Manager to lead SAP functional delivery across Materials Management, Warehouse Management, Production Planning, and Quality Management.

This role will be responsible for driving SAP solution design, business process alignment, project execution, production support, and continuous improvement across the supply chain landscape. The ideal candidate will bring strong cross-functional SAP expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners.

Role Expectations

The SAP Supply Chain Manager will act as a functional leader responsible for delivering practical, scalable, and supportable SAP solutions aligned with business needs. This role requires strong ownership of deliverables, clear communication with leadership, effective coordination across teams, and the ability to support both strategic project initiatives and day-to-day operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP Supply Chain functional activities across MM, WM, PP, and QM.
  • Partner with business teams to understand requirements, identify process gaps, and design scalable SAP solutions.
  • Manage solution design, configuration review, testing support, cutover planning, deployment, and production stabilization.
  • Support end-to-end supply chain processes including procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, production planning, and quality management.
  • Manage and prioritize incidents, enhancements, business requirements, risks, dependencies, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with functional and technical teams to ensure RICEF objects, interfaces, reports, forms, conversions, workflows, and custom developments are properly defined, aligned with business requirements, and delivered on time.
  • Support integrations between SAP and external systems including WMS, EDI, 3PL, manufacturing, planning, and procurement platforms.
  • Drive issue resolution across project delivery, testing, hypercare, and ongoing production support.
  • Provide guidance to SAP functional analysts, consultants, offshore teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Ensure adherence to change management, release management, documentation, testing, and support governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, system stability, automation, and standardization.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies clearly to business and IT leadership.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 10+ years of SAP Supply Chain functional experience with strong exposure to MM, WM, PP, and QM processes.
  • Hands-on expertise in at least two core SAP Supply Chain modules, with the ability to understand cross-module impacts and lead integrated solutions.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, warehouse execution, manufacturing, production supply, and quality processes.
  • Experience leading SAP functional workstreams, support teams, enhancements, rollouts, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP integration points across MM, WM, PP, QM, SD, FI, EDI, WMS, 3PL, and manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical SAP solutions, functional specifications, process flows, and test scenarios.
  • Experience managing incidents, enhancements, business priorities, project timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong background in testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, regression testing, cutover, and Hypercare.
  • Experience working with business users, IT teams, developers, offshore teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Strong communication, ownership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain environments.
  • Experience with JIRA and ServiceNow for project tracking, incident management, enhancement management, and support governance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, medical supplies, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or regulated supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of SAP EWM is preferred.
  • Experience with RF/barcode scanning, warehouse automation, external WMS, EDI, 3PL, or manufacturing system integrations.
  • Prior experience supporting SAP AMS, implementation, enhancement, rollout, or transformation programs.
  • SAP certification in MM, WM, PP, QM, EWM, or S/4HANA is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
