SAP Solution Architect - R2R Vertex

The opportunity:

We arepart of the Digital Core Center of Excellence managing a Global SAP S/4 Hana system.SolutionArchitect is responsible for the solutioning, designand testingof SAP Vertex implementations as well as support and integration with other SAP modules/functionalities and related interfacing environments.Opportunity to join a Global Organization, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and be part of the future green energy initiative

Howyou'llmake an impact:

• Gather, define, and document detailed business requirements for tax processes and integrations.

• Map requirementstoSAP S/4HANA and Vertex solutions while safeguarding the global template.

• Prepare configuration, functional specifications, and related documentation.

• Configure Vertex connectors for real-time tax determination across multiplejurisdictions.

• Design and execute Unit, Integration, and Regression Testing.

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.

• Develop and deliver training programs for key users.

• Ensure complete knowledge transfer for new functions or process changes.

• Implement new functionalities andoptimizeexisting tax automation workflows.

• Stay updated with industry best practices andleadcontinuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide 3rd-level support for incidents, problems, enhancements, and projects.

• Demonstrated ability to lead Vertex tax solution implementations, including blueprinting, technical design, and deployment

• Experience gathering business requirements, translating them into system configurations, and documenting technical solutions.

• Strong collaboration skills with finance, SAP Basis, and Tax Function to ensure alignment with global tax requirements.

• Effectively negotiate product improvement withVertexProduct team.

• Troubleshoot and debugSAPtax-related issues.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, finance, projectmanagementora relatedfield.

• Proven experience minimum of 8 years into SAP & 3 to 5 Years into Vertex.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in complex, multi-jurisdictional tax environments.

• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, specializing in indirect tax processes and Vertex tax engine integration.

• Deep knowledge of Vertex O Series and Vertex connectors (Accelerator 3.1,CFAor Accelerator+), including configuration and real-time tax determination for multiplejurisdictions(US Sales Tax, VAT, GST, etc.).

• Strong background in SAP Financials (FI, SD, MM), with hands-on experience in tax-relevant modules and processes (Order to Cash,Procureto Pay, Fiori Service orders, Transport Management).

• Ability to design and execute regression testing for O Series changes.

• Nice tohaveintegration experience with other productse.g.VIM, Concur, SAP Ariba.

• As a plus, familiarity with exemption certificate management and address cleansing tools.

• As a plus, technical skills in SAP code analysis and ability to debug/troubleshoot and optimize tax automation workflows.

• Proficiencyin both spoken & written English language isrequired.
