About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SAP Security Consultant with 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP security and authorizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP roles and authorization concepts across SAP landscapes. This role requires close collaboration with functional, BASIS, and development teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient access management in line with business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP roles and authorization concepts across SAP systems (ECC / S/4HANA).
• Perform user administration activities including user creation, lock/unlock, password resets, and role assignments.
• Execute end-to-end role lifecycle activities including role design, build, testing, transport, and deployment.
• Conduct Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, identify conflicts, and support remediation activities.
• Perform risk analysis and mitigation using SAP GRC Access Control (if applicable).
• Manage emergency access / Firefighter IDs, including monitoring, log review, and compliance reporting.
• Support internal and external audits (SOX, GDPR, internal audits) by providing access reports, audit evidence, and remediation support.
• Monitor and troubleshoot authorization issues using tools such as SU53, STAUTHTRACE, and PFCG.
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants, BASIS, and development teams to ensure secure and appropriate system access.
• Support SAP upgrades, system enhancements, and new implementations from a security and authorization perspective.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, including role design documents, access control procedures, and audit evidence.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and SAP best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Security and Authorizations.
• Strong expertise in role design and authorization concepts.
• Experience with user administration and access management.
• Good understanding of SoD concepts, risk analysis, and compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of SAP GRC Access Control is an added advantage.
• Experience handling Firefighter / Emergency Access Management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using SU53, STAUTHTRACE, and related tools.
• Exposure to audit and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR).
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on S/4HANA security.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori security and authorization concepts.
• Certification in SAP Security / GRC is a plus.
