Position: SAP SD Lead/ Solution Architect

Experience: 10-15 Years

Location: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai. Mumbai, Pune, Delhi

Summary of Role:

The consultant will serve as a key member of the Customer Success support team, delivering expert-level functional support and issue resolution for the SAP SD module across a diverse customer base. Operating remotely, the consultant will be responsible for maintaining high service standards, troubleshooting complex problems, and driving continuous improvement in SD-related processes. This role demands strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions within a fast-paced, multi-customer environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day functional support for SAP SD within a managed services framework.
  • This includes resolving incidents and service requests, configuration changes, supporting end users and testing and deploying fixes or enhancements
  • Delivers 2nd/3rd line advisory services to UK-based customersmany with global operations. This includes providing process improvements, guiding customers in best practice, evaluating change requests and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Actively engages with customers to understand business requirements and translates them into SAP solutions.
  • Problem-solving; uses own initiative to look for solutions and permanent fixes to recurring problems
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams (MM, FI, ABAP, Basis) to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Monitors SLAs and ensures timely resolution of tickets with high customer satisfaction.
  • Manages own workload and tasks independently, maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and utilization.
  • Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years hands on experience in SAP SD processes; with a proven track record supporting and configuring core Sales & Distribution processes
  • Deep understanding of key SD functions: order management, pricing, billing, shipping, credit management
  • Practical experience in both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, with the ability to navigate and support each confidently
  • Specialist knowledge in niche SD areas, including:
  • Rebates and Condition Contracts
  • Inter-company process
  • Advanced ATP and backorder processing
  • International Trade
  • Plants abroad
  • Cross functional knowledge across FICO/ MM / PP / WM
  • Working knowledge of sales-related IDocs, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Takes ownership of SD solutions from initial analysis and design through to implementation, testing, and support
  • Able to explain proposed solutions clearly and logically to both technical SAP users and non-technical stakeholders
  • Customer-facing troubleshooting and analysis skills, acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote, fast paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and skills quickly
  • Commitment to high-quality service delivery, consistently aiming for customer satisfaction and value creation
  • Travel will be a maximum of 25%
