Overview
The SAP SD & MM Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) modules to optimize business processes in sales, procurement, inventory, and logistics. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, conducting system testing, providing end-user training, and ensuring seamless integration between SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
- Implementation & Configuration: Design and configure the SAP SD module to meet business requirements, including order processing, billing, pricing, delivery, and invoicing.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements related to sales and distribution processes.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Develop test cases and perform system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the SAP SD module functions as expected.
- End-User Support & Training: Provide end-user support and conduct training sessions to ensure effective use of the SAP SD system.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other SAP functional consultants (FI, MM, PP) to ensure seamless integration across modules.
SAP MM (Materials Management)
- Implementation & Configuration: Configure the SAP MM module to meet business needs, including material master data, vendor master data, purchasing groups, and pricing procedures.
- System Integration: Integrate SAP MM with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, FI) and third-party systems to ensure smooth data flow and process efficiency.
- Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the SAP MM module, including troubleshooting issues and implementing fixes.
- Training & Documentation: Conduct training sessions for end-users and prepare documentation for SAP MM processes and configurations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance procurement and inventory management processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an SAP SD and MM Functional Consultant, with hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP SD and MM modules and their integration with other SAP modules (FI, PP).
- Certifications: SAP certification in SD and/or MM is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and documenting solutions
