SAP SCM Functional Expert

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced SCM Functional Expert to support configuration, design, and delivery of procurement, inventory, and production planning solutions on SAP ECC / S/4HANA. This role works closely with the SCM Architect to translate solution designs into detailed configuration and support business teams through testing, cutover, and stabilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and support SAP MM, PP, and WM/EWM processes covering procurement, inventory management, and production planning.
- Participate in requirement workshops, document functional specifications, and translate business requirements into system configuration.
- Support fit-gap analysis and provide recommendations on standard SAP functionality versus custom development.
- Prepare and execute test scenarios (SIT/UAT), troubleshoot functional issues, and coordinate with technical teams on WRICEF development.
- Support cutover planning, data migration validation, and post-go-live hypercare for SCM processes.
- Collaborate with the SCM Architect and cross-functional teams (OTC, RTR, technical) to ensure integrated, consistent solutions.
- Provide functional guidance and training to end users and junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 9+ years of SAP SCM functional experience across MM, PP, and/or WM/EWM, including at least 2 full lifecycle implementations.
- Strong hands-on configuration experience in procurement (purchasing, inventory management), production planning (discrete/process/repetitive), and/or warehouse management.
- Experience working on S/4HANA implementations or conversions is preferred.
- Good understanding of integration points with SD, FI/CO, QM, and PM modules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in onshore-offshore delivery models.
Preferred / Good to Have:
- SAP S/4HANA certification in Sourcing & Procurement, Manufacturing, or EWM.
- Exposure to SAP IBP/APO or advanced planning and scheduling tools.
- Experience supporting US or EU business units.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
