About The Role
Position Overview
The SAP Senior Analyst Sales and Distribution (SD) provides business process analysis, SAP configuration expertise, and solution ownership for end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to support and enhance the current SAP S/4HANA implementation and to help architect solutions for new implementations as business needs evolve. The position focuses on SAP SD process design and optimization, and on ensuring reliable integration to third-party platforms supporting commissions, taxation, shipping/carrier execution, and other order management capabilities. Working in a matrixed, global environment, the role collaborates closely with an existing US-based team and supports users across the US and other global entities.
Core Skills
Order-to-Cash (OTC) / SAP SD functional leadership
- SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) leadership across OTC (order management, pricing, billing, delivery/shipping, returns, credit/debit memos, and credit management including FSCM Credit Management)
- Cross-module understanding of SD integration points with MM, FI/CO, and logistics execution; strong SD–EWM mechanics knowledge is a plus (outbound delivery/status flows, HU/packing, PGI timing, qRFC/queue monitoring)
Pricing & commercial conditions
- Hands-on design and optimization of SAP pricing condition technique (condition tables, access sequences, pricing procedures, account keys, pricing procedure determination)
- Advanced pricing functions (scales, group conditions, header conditions, condition exclusion)
- Working knowledge of pricing requirement and calculation routines (VOFM) for advanced pricing logic and troubleshooting
Controls, credit & compliance
- FSCM Credit Management concepts in an OTC context (credit segments, checks, workflows)
- Eligibility and restriction controls (e.g., inclusion/exclusion and listing/exclusion) to support controlled product compliance and business rule enforcement
Documents, outputs & templates
- S/4HANA Output Management (Output Control) knowledge for sales and billing documents, including template governance and output monitoring
Integrations (tax, commissions, shipping/carriers, OMS/EDI)
- Experience supporting integrations with external platforms (commissions, tax engines, shipping/carrier solutions, 3rd-party order management applications), including interface monitoring and issue resolution
Fulfillment & availability
- Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP) / ATP concepts and configuration exposure (product allocation, backorder processing, supply confirmation), aligned to fulfillment and inventory processes
- SAP Fiori user experience, app enablement, and a fit-to-standard mindset for modern S/4HANA processes
Delivery excellence, support & compliance
- Strong requirements elicitation, solution design, documentation, and testing discipline (unit/integration/UAT)
- Production support mindset: incident/problem management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder management in a matrixed, global environment; strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in regulated/controlled industries (e.g., medical device) with awareness of validation, audit, and compliance considerations
Desired Skills
- Experience in regulated/controlled industries (e.g., medical device) with understanding of compliance, audit readiness, and validation considerations.
- Exposure to SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) and trade/export compliance concepts (export controls, sanctioned party screening, embargo checks), including familiarity with Incoterms, export documentation, and country-of-origin / preference implications.
- Experience delivering projects using SAP Activate methodology (fit-to-standard workshops, backlog management, and structured testing/cutover approaches).
- Integration tooling exposure (e.g., IDoc/ALE/EDI, SAP APIs/OData services, SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or SAP PI/PO).
- Data migration exposure using S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit / LTMC (and/or LSMW/BAPI-based approaches), including reconciliation/validation support.
- Exposure to SAP Business AI capabilities (including Joule) and interest in adopting modern SAP innovations relevant to SD.

Required Qualifications
- Title: SAP Senior Analyst – Sales and Distribution
- Experience: Candidates should have 7+ of hands-on experience supporting and enhancing SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) solutions, with end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) ownership.
- Qualification: Applicants may hold a bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- At least two (2) full lifecycle SAP implementations (S/4HANA preferred) spanning requirements, configuration, testing, cutover/go-live, and hyper care.
- Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and support core SD/OTC processes in production (e.g., sales order management through delivery and billing), including strong troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated experience integrating SAP with third-party solutions (e.g., tax, commission, shipping/carrier, EDI/OMS), including interface troubleshooting and partnering with integration/development teams.
- Working knowledge of cross-module integration points (SD with MM and FI/CO, and LE/Shipping). Exposure to WM/EWM is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills; ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and testable solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global team supporting US and other entities (including overlap with US business hours as needed).
