Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Consultant to support a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation and transformation project.
The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities, including data analysis, extraction, mapping, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, reconciliation, cutover, and post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze legacy system data and understand business/data migration requirements.
- Define data migration strategy, mapping rules, transformation logic, and migration requirements.
- Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading into SAP S/4HANA.
- Execute migration activities using SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM).
- Work hands-on with:
- Staging Table Method
- Direct Transfer Method
- File Transfer Method
- Migration Object Templates (MOTs)
- Prepare, maintain, and validate migration templates and data mapping documents.
- Develop and execute legacy data extraction strategies.
- Work with legacy extraction techniques/tools such as BDC, BAPI, LSMW, IDOC, and ALE interfaces.
- Perform mock migration loads, data reconciliation, error analysis, and data validation.
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live migration activities.
- Coordinate with SAP functional teams across FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, and QM.
- Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Identify migration issues and drive them through to resolution.
- Ensure data quality, completeness, accuracy, and consistency throughout the migration cycle.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP Data Migration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Data Migration.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP Migration Cockpit – LTMC and LTMOM.
- Experience in both Master Data and Transactional Data migration.
- Hands-on experience with Staging Table, Direct Transfer, and File Transfer methods.
- Good knowledge of Migration Object Templates (MOTs).
- Strong understanding of legacy data extraction and migration strategies.
- Experience with one or more legacy migration techniques such as:
- BDC
- BAPI
- LSMW
- IDOC
- ALE
- Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation.
- Strong understanding of SAP master and transactional data.
- Experience in mock loads, reconciliation, validation, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good English communication skills are mandatory.
Functional Area Exposure:
Experience working with one or more of the following SAP modules is preferred:
FI | CO | MM | SD | PP | PM | QM
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
- SAP Data Migration / S/4HANA certification is an advantage.
- Experience working in international/global SAP transformation projects.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional SAP teams.
