SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant (Public Cloud / Integration)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Advanced Engineer with 6+ years of experience to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and its ecosystem (e.g., Replicon, Concur, etc.).

The ideal candidate will be part of a global virtual team supporting SAP deployments, working closely with vendors, internal teams, and leadership. This role requires strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of financial processes, and the ability to provide strategic guidance and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and configure SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud ABAP solutions

Implement custom enhancements to meet business requirements

Support UAT, upgrades, M&A activities, and vendor coordination

Configure and maintain systems for optimal performance and reliability

Troubleshoot ABAP programs and resolve technical issues

Enhance modules focusing on Authorization, Data Migration, and Integration

Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues

Manage system backups and recovery processes

Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and compliance

Support audits and regulatory compliance requirements

Implement new features and modules within the SAP ecosystem

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integrations

Develop and execute performance improvement plans

Track SAP updates, perform impact analysis, and communicate changes

Lead root cause analysis and support incident resolution

Provide guidance on support tickets and issue management

Participate in on-call support during releases/deployments

Act as SME across Fiori, ABAP, CDS Views, OData, Integration Suite, BADI

Contribute to knowledge base and technical documentation

Support team members during peak workloads

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud administration

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

In-depth understanding of databases, OS (Windows/Linux), and networking

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud certification preferred

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Required Skills & Expertise

Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud architecture

Functional expertise in areas such as FICO, OTC, PS, Security, or Integrations

Experience in system monitoring and performance tuning

Advanced troubleshooting capabilities

Knowledge of SAP transport management and database systems

Understanding of cloud computing and modern infrastructure

Familiarity with scripting (Bash, PowerShell) – preferred

Knowledge of project management methodologies
