To ensure the stability, performance, security, and scalability of Visteon's global SAP S/4HANA landscape by driving all BASIS, system administration, environment management, transport governance, integrations, and technical operations across multiple global sites. The role provides a robust technical foundation enabling smooth rollouts, dependable operations, and a secure system backbone.

Key Objectives of this Role

  • Maintain a Stable & High-Performing SAP Environment: Ensure optimal performance, system availability, and proactive monitoring of all SAP components.
  • Oversee System Architecture & Technical Operations: Handle installations, upgrades, kernel patches, support packs, cloud services, and environment refreshes.
  • Manage Multi-System Landscape: Support development, QA, training, pre-production, and production systems across global time zones.
  • Ensure Seamless Integrations: Support CPI, EDI, MES, PLM, OpenText, and other application integrations from a BASIS perspective.
  • Implement Strong Security & Compliance: Ensure ICFR, ITGC, SoD, and audit alignment across user access, roles, and technical operations.
  • Support Global Rollout: Provide BASIS support during blueprint, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare phases for all new sites.
  • Transport Management & Governance: Ensure strict control, sequencing, and quality of transports across the landscape.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Diagnosis and resolution of performance issues, dumps, locks, RFC failures, job aborts, and system errors.

Key Performance Indicators

System Performance & Availability KPIs

  • Production system uptime (>99.9%).
  • Batch job success rate and reduction in job failures.
  • Database growth optimization and HANA memory utilization benchmarks.
  • Reduction of performance-related incidents (ST03N analysis).

Technical Operations KPIs

  • SLA adherence for transports, refreshes, and environment requests.
  • Timely application of patches and upgrades with minimal disruption.
  • Stability of RFCs, queues, CPI connectivity, and host agents.
  • SAP Note implementation success rate without regression issues.

Security & Compliance KPIs

  • ICFR/ITGC compliance score.
  • Transport governance adherence (no unauthorized changes).
  • Audit findings closure within defined timelines.
  • User access provisioning accuracy.

Rollout & Project KPIs

  • On-time environment setup for each project phase.
  • Zero critical BASIS defects leaking into go-live.
  • Seamless support for cutover (transports, batch jobs, integrations, security).
  • Hypercare stability score across new sites.

Key Year One Deliverables

  • Stabilize SAP Technical Operations for the Live Pilot Site

oImprove system performance, job runtime, and integration reliability.

oClean up background jobs, unused RFCs, spool queues, and obsolete objects.

oEnsure CPI/EDI/MES integrations function with zero BASIS-level disruptions.

  • Establish Global BASIS Governance Framework

oTransport pathway and sequencing rules across all landscapes.

oStandard monitoring framework (CCMS or equivalent tools).

oStandard operating procedures for refreshes, backups, and patching.

  • Prepare Environments for Tunisia, Asia & Future Sites

oSet up new clients, systems, roles, RFCs, and batch jobs.

oSupport data migration and performance tuning for loads.

oManage transport bundles and cutover requirements.

  • Execute Key Technical Upgrades

oSupport S/4HANA feature pack upgrades, kernel updates, HANA patching.

oValidate integration points after technical upgrades.

  • Build Internal Documentation & Capability

oBASIS runbook for AMS and internal IT teams.

oDR/backup documentation and technical architecture diagrams.

oTroubleshooting guide for performance, dump analysis, and connectivity issues.
