Role Summary
- The Senior Manager SAP RAR is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of the Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) module within the SAP S/4HANA environment. This role bridges finance, IT, and operations to ensure compliance with IFRS 15 / ASC 606 standards, streamline revenue processes, and enhance reporting accuracy and automation
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation & Solution Design
- Lead end-to-end SAP RAR solution design, configuration, and deployment.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned with IFRS 15 / ASC 606.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FI/CO, SD, PS, BRIM, etc.) to ensure seamless RAR integration.
- Oversee RAR data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Finance Controllers, Revenue Teams, and IT to define and optimize revenue recognition processes.
- Manage relationships with external implementation partners, auditors, and consultants.
- Present system capabilities and solutions to senior leadership.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure RAR configuration and postings adhere to accounting and audit standards.
- Implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and traceability of revenue postings.
- Support external audits and internal reviews.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process automation and optimization opportunities within RAR and integrated modules.
- Drive enhancement projects and system upgrades (e.g., S/4HANA transition).
- Monitor system performance and ensure data accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field.
Experience:
- 1015 years of total experience with at least 5+ years in SAP Finance / RAR domain.
- Proven experience leading large-scale SAP RAR or S/4HANA implementations.
- Strong understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Experience integrating RAR with SD, FI/CO, BRIM, and PS modules.
Technical Skills:
- SAP RAR 1.3+ or S/4HANA RAR
- Knowledge of FICO, SD, and revenue management processes
- Advanced Excel and reporting (e.g., SAC / BW / Fiori)
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder and communication management
- Leadership and mentoring of SAP and finance teams
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP RAR certification
- Experience with SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management)
- Background in Telecom, Software, or Subscription-based industries
- Experience in global or multi-entity implementations
