Job Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced SAP Release & Transport Management Consultant with 7–10 years of relevant experience to manage and coordinate SAP release activities across environments. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ABAP transport management, release processes, deployment coordination, and change management, along with practical exposure to SAP tools and CI/CD practices.

The candidate should be capable of managing planned and unplanned release activities, ensuring deployment readiness, maintaining process documentation, and coordinating effectively with development teams and stakeholders in a remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate planned SAP releases and communicate release schedules to relevant stakeholders.

- Register releases in the SAP-internal Release Management application and create test plans in Solution Manager.

- Perform release health checks and consistency checks using TEAP, and follow up on identified findings.

- Review test status and coordinate with development teams to resolve issues before deployment.

- Initiate and coordinate deployments, including post-deployment production spot checks.

- Manage release monitoring, traceability, rollback, and recovery procedures.

- Coordinate release dependencies, environment configurations, and access controls.

- Ensure automated testing, security scanning, and deployment validation.

- Troubleshoot release and change management-related issues.

- Support development teams in delivering bug-fix and emergency releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in SAP Release and Transport Management.

- Strong knowledge of SAP development processes and transport management on ABAP systems.

- Familiarity with ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and code consistency checks (TEAP).

- Familiarity with the ABAP Transport Management System, particularly transaction SE03.

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager is an advantage.

- ABAP development knowledge is an advantage.

- Hands-on experience managing automated deployments and transports using SAP Cloud Transport Management (cTMS).

- Knowledge of GitHub branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews, and version control.

- Experience defining and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, SAP CI/CD, or Jenkins.

- Ability to manage end-to-end SAP BTP release planning, coordination, and execution across environments.

- Experience in IT project management and strong technical documentation skills.

- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize critical tasks during deployments.

- Ability to handle emergency situations, including hotfix deployments, effectively.
