SAP RAR Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) Consultant with strong knowledge of revenue recognition, IFRS 15/ASC 606, and SAP S/4HANA integration. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP RAR solutions for complex revenue processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
• Analyze business requirements related to revenue recognition and accounting.
• Configure revenue recognition processes in accordance with IFRS 15 / ASC 606.
• Design and configure revenue contracts, performance obligations, and revenue recognition rules.
• Configure revenue allocation, contract modifications, and revenue adjustments.
• Work on integration between SAP RAR and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Work closely with SAP FI, SD, Billing, and other functional teams.
• Configure and support integration with order management and billing systems.
• Handle revenue deferrals, accruals, adjustments, and revenue postings.
• Support month-end and year-end revenue accounting activities.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production support.
• Analyze and resolve RAR configuration and integration issues.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, and test cases.
• Work with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical teams.
• Support SAP RAR implementation, rollout, migration, and enhancement projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP RAR.
• Good understanding of Revenue Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and/or ASC 606.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Good understanding of SAP FI integration.
• Experience with SAP SD, Billing, and order-to-cash processes.
• Knowledge of revenue allocation and performance obligations.
• Experience with contract modifications and revenue adjustments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP RAR implementation and rollout.
• Knowledge of SAP BRIM and subscription/billing processes.
• Experience integrating RAR with external billing or order-management systems.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration and transformation projects.
• Experience working on global implementations and multi-country revenue requirements.

Experience

5–10+ years of overall SAP experience, with strong relevant experience in SAP RAR / Revenue Accounting and Reporting.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. SAP certification is an advantage.
