Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in end-to-end SAP PP implementations, including Blueprinting, Solution Design, Configuration, Testing (UT/SIT/UAT), Go-Live, and Hypercare support.
- Act as a Business SAP Process Consultant by understanding and mapping integrated P2P (Procure-to-Pay) and Manufacturing processes into SAP S/4HANA solutions.
- Configure and support core SAP PP functionalities, including:
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Routing and Work Centers
- Production Versions
- MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
- Capacity Planning
- Production Orders / Process Orders
- Shop Floor Control & Execution
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes within SAP S/4HANA PP environment.
- Manage and configure MRP strategies, planning parameters, lot sizing, and procurement proposals aligned with business requirements.
- Drive integration across modules:
- SAP QM Inspection types, in-process inspection, quality notifications.
- SAP PM Equipment maintenance impacting production capacity and planning.
- SAP EWM Material staging, warehouse integration for production supply.
- SAP FI Production accounting, cost settlement, WIP, variance calculation.
- Conduct workshops with production, engineering, and procurement teams to gather requirements and provide optimized SAP solutions.
- Translate business requirements into Functional Specifications (FS) and collaborate with technical teams for developments, enhancements, and interfaces.
- Configure master data elements such as Material Master (MRP views), BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, and Production Resources/Tools.
- Support Capacity Planning and Production Scheduling, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Manage production order lifecycle:
- Creation & Release
- Material Staging
- Confirmation
- Goods Receipt
- Settlement & Variance Analysis
- Support integration with Tool Design, Product Engineering, and Production Planning teams, ensuring system alignment with engineering changes and manufacturing constraints.
- Perform data migration activities and validate legacy-to-SAP data consistency.
- Provide post-go-live support and stabilization during Hypercare phase.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing best practices, especially in engineering-driven environments (Mechanical/Electronics industries).
- Prepare and maintain documentation:
- Business Process Documents (BPD)
- Configuration Documents
- Functional Design Documents (FDD)
- Training Materials & SOPs
- Mentor junior consultants and ensure adherence to solution governance and process standardization.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong SAP PP Functional Consultant
- Mandatory (Experience 1) Must have 6+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP PP (Production Planning).
- Mandatory (Experience 2) Must have worked as a Business SAP Process Consultant with strong understanding of P2P (Procure-to-Pay) integrated manufacturing processes.
- Mandatory (Experience 3) Must have completed minimum 2 end-to-end SAP PP implementations (full lifecycle exposure including Blueprint, Configuration, Testing, Go-Live, and Hypercare).
- Mandatory (Experience 4) Must have strong S/4HANA experience in SAP PP.
- Mandatory (Experience 5) Must have strong integration experience with SAP QM (Quality Management), SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and SAP FI (Finance).
- Mandatory (Education Background) Must hold a degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering with exposure to Tool Design, Production Planning, or Product Engineering.
- Mandatory (Stability Criteria) Candidate must demonstrate career stability with minimum 2 years tenure in at least one organization (avoid frequent job changes).
- Mandatory (Process Knowledge) Strong functional knowledge of manufacturing processes including BOM, Routing, MRP, Capacity Planning, Production Orders, and Shop Floor Execution.
