We are looking for an experienced SAP PIPO to CPI Migration Consultant to lead and execute the migration of integrations from SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration (PI/PO) to SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) as part of SAP Integration Suite. The role involves assessment of existing PI/PO interfaces, redesigning integrations for the cloud, and ensuring secure, performant, and scalable integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
PIPO to CPI Migration
- Analyze existing SAP PI/PO interfaces, ESR objects, mappings, and adapters
- Define migration strategy (as-is vs. redesign) from PI/PO to CPI
- Convert integration flows, mappings, routing logic, and adapters to CPI
- Replace legacy adapters with CPI-supported adapters (HTTPS, IDoc, SOAP, SFTP, OData, AS2, etc.)
- Handle complex mapping transformations (Graphical Mapping, XSLT, value mappings)
SAP CPI Development
- Design and develop CPI iFlows following SAP best practices
- Implement integration patterns: synchronous, asynchronous, batch, and event-based
- Configure exception handling, retries, logging, and alerting
- Optimize performance and ensure high availability
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT
Security & Connectivity
- Set up certificates, keystore, trust store, and secure communication
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, Basic, SSL/TLS)
- Configure connectivity with SAP and non-SAP systems (On‑Premise and Cloud)
- Documentation & Governance
- Prepare migration documentation, technical design documents, and interface catalogs
- Support cutover planning, go-live, and post‑go‑live hypercare
- Ensure compliance with integration governance and naming standards
- Work closely with basis, security, and functional teams
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO (design, ESR, runtime)
- Proven experience migrating interfaces from PI/PO to CPI
- In-depth knowledge of SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite
- Strong expertise in message mappings, routing, and adapters
- Good understanding of XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, IDoc
- Troubleshooting and monitoring CPI and PI/PO runtime issues
Technical Knowledge
SAP adapters: IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, SFTP, AS2, JDBC
Security concepts: certificates, keystores, OAuth, SSL
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or ECC integration scenarios
Nice to Have
- Experience with Trading Partner Management (TPM) or B2B integrations
- Exposure to SAP API Management
- Knowledge of Integration Advisor and EDI scenarios
- SAP Certification in CPI or Integration Suite
- Experience with CI/CD or transport automation

Experience & Education
- 10–18 years of SAP integration experience
