SAP PI/PO Developer

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Craft architecture for systems and data integration to enable organization-wide scalable integration
• Analyze system operations through monitoring, capacity analysis, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement in stability and performance
• Assist in maintenance and support of integration solutions
• Lead integration testing phase of software and applications under development to identify and resolve issues
• Demonstrate knowledge of SDLC, business process modeling, application design patterns, and business/functional documents
• Support building and maintaining an enterprise portfolio to support application capabilities lifecycle and roadmap initiatives
• Support development of Platform Reference Architectures and Roadmaps
• Advise business areas on innovative technologies and their impact on enterprise architecture
• Analyze current technology environment to detect deficiencies and recommend tactical and strategic changes
• Participate in lifecycle planning of existing IT assets and analyze impact of implementing new technologies
• Develop technical strategy for data integrations and implement scalable designs using best practices
• Drive simplification and standardization of enterprise integration solutions
• Assist in the analysis, design, and development of the integration roadmap
• Provide guidance, direction, and support to junior technical team members
• Analyze industry standards and trends in integration technologies

SAP PI-Specific Duties:

• Design, develop, and configure SAP PI components in support of interface requirements
• Perform performance analysis and tuning for individual interfaces
• Ensure interface connectivity between SAP and legacy systems
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance of PI components and interfaces
• Assist business teams with creation of integration test cases and plans
• Promote component reuse strategy across development environments
• Provide technical quality assurance and ensure development adheres to standards
• Manage day-to-day issues and tasks related to SAP interface development and support

Experience & Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• 4+ years experience in design, development, and support of SAP NetWeaver PI components and interfaces, including ABAP and Java development
• Advanced software development and architectural skills with knowledge of distributed computing
• Experience with large-scale SAP implementation projects
• Working knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP PI 7.x, SAP ABAP, Java, PI message mapping, FILE, JMS, JDBC, MAIL, RFC, SOAP adapters, mutual SSL implementation
• Experience building custom PI adapter modules and monitoring PI for errors
• Knowledge of APIs, proxy endpoints, API portals, API analytics, REST API development, Web services, RAML design, DataWeave, connectors, and exception handling
• Minimum 3 years proven SAP PI experience, including handling large/concurrent messages, PI caches, PI Advanced Adapter Engine, and BPE
• CPI experience is a plus
