Role Overview
BioMarin is looking for a strong SAP PaPM Consulting Manager to support and stabilize PaPM operations within a global AMS/AES (Operate) support environment.
This is not a pure configuration or ticket-processing role. The consultant will be expected to manage production support, business escalations, enhancement demand, operational stabilization, and stakeholder governance within a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment.
The ideal candidate should have strong finance/process understanding, operational support maturity, stakeholder management capability, and the confidence to work directly with senior business users and leadership teams.
Since PaPM is a niche skill in the market, we are also open to strong adjacent SAP finance and planning backgrounds with transferable PaPM capability.
Candidates with pharma/life sciences and GxP-regulated environment experience are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP PaPM production support and enhancement activities
- Support profitability management, allocations, planning, and reconciliation processes
- Analyze recurring incidents and identify root causes
- Reduce operational noise and recurring support issues
- Work directly with finance and business stakeholders
- Manage enhancement demand and support prioritization
- Coordinate across SAP, CPI, BW, SAC, infrastructure, and third-party teams
- Troubleshoot integration, data, and process-related issues
- Improve operational governance and support maturity
- Mentor junior consultants and offshore support resources
- Participate in incident management, problem management, and release governance
- Support operational stabilization and long-term process improvements
Required Skills
Mandatory
- Strong SAP functional consulting experience
- AMS/AES or managed services support experience
- Strong understanding of:
- allocations,
- profitability analysis,
- financial planning,
- reconciliation,
- reporting,
- and finance operations
- Strong stakeholder management capability
- Experience handling business escalations
- Ability to independently lead workshops and discussions
- Strong operational support mindset
- Experience working in large enterprise SAP environments
