About The Role

A Day in the Life

Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.

This role will provide support for MiniMed SAP Procure to Pay process.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Minimed's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide functional leadership for SAP procure to pay process, ensuring seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Design, review, and govern inbound logistics processes, including goods receipt, inventory movements, and logistics execution touchpoints.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process designs.
  • Support SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and production support, including defect resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage incident resolution, change requests, and enhancements, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.
  • Oversee and guide SAP integrations with external systems, including EDI, IDocs, and SAP Ariba, ensuring data accuracy and process continuity.
  • Lead functional design reviews, prepare solution documentation, and ensure adherence to SAP best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to senior and junior functional consultants, ensuring high‑quality delivery and knowledge continuity.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams on interface design, enhancements, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborates with Business Relationship Manager (BRM), business stakeholders and IT Product Owners / Managers to develop business requirements for product or system changes.

Required Knowledge And Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Procure to Pay process area.
  • Experience in MM (Procurement, Inventory, Vendor Management), EWM/WM (Goods Movement, Inbound/Outbound Logistics)
  • Strong integration knowledge across PP (MRP, Shop Floor Control, Master Data), QM (Inspection Planning, In-Process and Final Inspection), IBP/APO (Demand and Supply Planning), PM (Equipment Maintenance and Scheduling)
  • Experience in leading Procure to Pay area in multiple implementation and support projects.
  • Solid functional understanding of EDI and IDocs, including interface design, monitoring, error handling, and reconciliation.
  • Should have strong SAP Standard configuration knowledge and good SAP project process knowledge. Must have excellent knowledge on end to end procure to pay scenarios.
  • S/4 implementation experience is mandatory
  • Experience in SAP Ariba preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of custom programs, testing, co-ordination of transports to production and post-go live support
  • High business sensitivity, result oriented with ability to manage stakeholders and contractors.
  • Ability to work with teams across geographical locations with various functional & technical expertise. Ability to work globally with diverse nationalities in a matrix environment
  • Proactive, self-starter and able to take initiative
  • Fluent English. Strong written and verbal communication skills
