We are seeking an experienced SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end implementation and rollout experience, a solid understanding of procurement and inventory processes, and the ability to bridge business and technical requirements. Prior exposure to automotive or manufacturing industry practices is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support SAP MM and WM implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support projects across ECC and S/4HANA platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse functional requirements and design scalable MM solutions.
- Configure key components of SAP MM including:
- Purchasing (PR, PO, Contracts, Scheduling Agreements, JIT/JIS Call-offs)
- Subcontracting with components and tracking
- Batch Management and Split Valuation
- Special Procurement types for consignment and pipeline stock
- Inventory Management (GR, GI, Stock Transfers, Batch Management)
- Invoice Verification (ERS, LIV)
- Material Master Data and Valuation
- Configure key components & processes in SAP WM including:
- Warehouse structure and master data
- Inbound (GR) , Storage (Putaway), Outbound (picking, packing, stock removal), staging, internal movements, replenishment
- Fair exposure to Handling Units (HU) and Value added services
- Manage integration
- SAP PP (Production Planning), WM/EWM (Warehouse), and QM (Quality)
- EDI/IDoc-based integrations with suppliers (DELJIT, ASN, INVOIC, ORDERS)
- understanding of SAP PI/PO or CPI for communication with supplier networks
- Perform fit-gap analysis, solution blueprinting, and functional documentation.
- Support data migration (LSMW, BAPIs) and cutover planning.
- Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, Basis, PI/CPI) for development and integration activities.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and end-user training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues, ensuring business continuity.
- Adhere to SAP best practices and governance standards throughout project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 712 years of overall SAP MM and WM experience with at least 2 full-cycle implementations in SAP ECC and 1+ in S/4HANA.
- Strong understanding of P2P processes, indirect and direct procurement, external services procurement.
- Expertise in material valuation, account determination, pricing procedures, release strategies.
- Experience working with output types, IDocs, ALE/EDI, and integration via PI/PO or SAP CPI.
- Knowledge of Fiori apps and SAP Activate methodology.
- Good understanding of S/4HANA innovations in MM (e.g., Business Partner, MRP live, FIORI-driven UX).
- Exposure to JIT/JIS, Kanban, or Batch Management is a plus (especially in automotive).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP MM Certification (ECC or S/4HANA)
- Experience in Automotive / Auto Components / Tier-1 Suppliers /manufacturing domain
- Working knowledge on WM / EWM
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (JIRA, ServiceNow)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field
