About the Role
The Senior SAP MM Consultant will have strong expertise in the SAP Materials Management module with deep knowledge of business processes such as Master Data Management, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management, and Material Valuation. The role involves working on SAP S/4HANA template preparation and implementation, providing strategic inputs, and ensuring successful SAP MM solutions aligned with business requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP MM. This position requires coordination with global SAP teams based across different regions.
Responsibilities
- Lead SAP MM activities in S/4HANA projects, including template preparation and implementation
- Design, configure, customize, test, and deploy SAP MM processes
- Identify gaps, issues, and provide effective workaround solutions
- Gather and analyze business requirements and convert them into functional specifications
- Map business processes and recommend system enhancements to meet business objectives
- Support ECC to S/4HANA Greenfield implementation using S/4 best practices
- Optimize MM processes for high-volume, mass production environments
- Act as a business partner to procurement teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation
- Lead demand specifications, customization, testing, and go-live activities
- Support knowledge transfer and training for key business users
- Work closely with SD, PP, and EWM teams to ensure seamless cross-module integration
- Provide support for both implementation and ongoing SAP MM support projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related field
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on SAP MM experience
Required Skills
- Strong experience in SAP MM on ECC and S/4HANA, including end-to-end implementations and migration projects
- In-depth understanding of procurement, supply chain, and inventory management processes
- Strong SAP configuration and integration skills with exposure to global purchasing projects
- Structured, independent, and methodical working approach
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills
- Good documentation, coordination, and client-handling abilities
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks
