Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior SAP MM Consultant with a robust background, including 10+ years of dedicated SAP MM experience and critically, 2-4 years of recent, hands-on experience within the Fashion and Retail industries. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in configuring, implementing, and optimizing SAP Materials Management (MM) modules to meet the unique procurement, inventory, and master data requirements of fashion and retail businesses. This role demands a strong understanding of industry-specific supply chain processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of SAP MM implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, from strategic planning and requirements gathering to blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Design, configure, and optimize SAP MM functionalities, including:
- Procurement processes: Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Outline Agreements, Release Strategies, and Vendor Management.
- Inventory Management: Goods Receipts, Goods Issues, Stock Transfers, Physical Inventory, and Special Stocks.
- Valuation and Account Assignment: Material Valuation, Account Determination, and Invoice Verification (MIRO).
- Specialize in adapting SAP MM solutions to the specific needs of the Fashion and Retail sectors, such as:
- Article Master Management: Configuration and management of fashion-specific article master data, including generic articles, variants (color, size, style), and segmentation.
- Seasonal Procurement: Managing seasonal purchasing, allocation, and replenishment strategies.
- Retail-specific procurement processes: Integration with POS, store ordering, and cross-docking scenarios.
- Vendor Collaboration: Optimizing relationships with fashion suppliers and manufacturers.
- Integration with SAP Fashion Management Solution (FMS) or SAP Apparel and Footwear Solution (AFS) for material and procurement data flow.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders (Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance) to understand their procurement and inventory requirements and translate them into effective SAP MM solutions.
- Develop functional specifications for custom developments (enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms) and work effectively with technical teams (ABAP developers).
- Conduct comprehensive system testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide in-depth end-user training and documentation.
- Provide expert-level support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the stability, integrity, and performance of the SAP MM system.
- Stay abreast of the latest SAP MM/S/4HANA functionalities and industry trends in Fashion and Retail supply chain management.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and business users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Consultant, including multiple full lifecycle implementations.
- 2-4 years of recent and demonstrable experience specifically within the Fashion and/or Retail industries, with a strong understanding of their unique procurement and inventory processes.
- Proven expertise in SAP MM configuration across all core modules (Purchasing, Inventory Management, Valuation, Invoice Verification).
- Strong understanding of integration points between SAP MM and other SAP modules (e.g., SD, WM, FICO, PP).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred, particularly with Material Management functionalities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
