Job Title SAP MDG Functional Consultant
Location: Remote / Hybrid (open to US, Europe, or India time zones)
Employment Type: Full-time / Contract (6–12 months with strong possibility of
extension) Experience Level: 6–7 years in SAP FICO and 3-4 years Master Data
Governance (MDG) with proven Finance focus
About The Role
We are looking for a hands-on SAP MDG Consultant with deep expertise in Finance
master data and hierarchies to join our clients global SAP S/4HANA transformation
program. You will own the configuration, and execution of MDG processes specifically
for uploading and governing Finance master data (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, GL
Accounts, Company Codes, etc.) and all associated hierarchies (Cost Center Hierarchy,
Profit Center Hierarchy, Financial, etc.).Should be aware of the concept of Set leaf, set
header for loading hierarchies Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain SAP MDG data models (especially for Finance
domain: 0G, 0COSTCENTER, 0PROFITCENTER, 0GL_ACCOUNT, etc.).
Build and manage Finance hierarchies in MDG using the Hierarchy framework,
including upload, activation, and replication to Central Finance / S/4HANA target
systems.
Execute mass upload and maintenance of Finance master data and
hierarchies via MDG File Upload, MDG API, DRF (Data Replication Framework),
and LTMC integration.
Configure Change Request workflows, approval processes, and governance
rules for Finance objects Proven ability to deliver complex hierarchy uploads and master data loads with
high data quality.
Good-to-Have
Knowledge of SAP Business Partner
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN) or Group Reporting.
Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery.
