SAP MDG Consultant

We are looking for a Functional MDG consultant to join a newly formed (in-house) SAP MDG Delivery Team.

Organisational/Programme Background:

Maersk is currently in the early phase of a multi-year, global transformation programme, set to harmonize/centralise its various legacy and SAP ECC platforms onto a core SAP S/4 landscape.

Led by the New Finance & Tax Platform, this objective is set to maximise the standardisation of all global end-to-end processes, namely, PTP, OTC, RTR, within a global template strategy.

As part of the Data Management function, the MDG sub-function has recently implemented the MDG- BP, Customer/Vendor, Material and Finance data models as well additional custom datamodels. An MDG roadmap is under-development to further extend existing functionality to new Maersk regions and countries as well as meet demand for enhancements and new functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the delivery of SAP MDG implementation activities in a functional hands-on role across amulti-year, multi-releaseprogramme.
• Provide hands on MDG expertise, specifically around MDG functional configuration where required, FS development, through to business sign off and handover for TSdevelopment.
• Responsible for driving the design decisions, functional unit testing and coordinating between the testing teams and the business users during businesstesting.
• Actively collaborate with other product owners and engineering teams to understandtheir needs and coordinate integration of MDG with theirproducts
• Independently manage the backlog and specific user stories assigned as per the product owner prioritization based on business needs, creation of backlog items and mapping out dependenciesin collaboration with users andcustomers
• Work closely with development teams in Agile way of working contribute to the planning, execution and review of each sprint and work with the team to refine and improve the developmentprocess
• Ensure governance is followed in changedeployment
• Close working collaboration with the respective MDG Scrum Masters, engineering leads and MDG teams to ensure end-to-enddelivery

Who we are looking for:

• Experience working as SAP MDG engineer/functional consultant for a minimum of 3+ years, with overall experience of 5+ years with large scale SAP transformation initiatives
• Hands-on implementation experience of SAP MDG incl. deep knowledge in SAP MDG configuration (MDG-IMG nodes) with knowledge of architectures and business processes
• Experience in working with senior business product owners/global process owners on MDG workflow designs, to create and extend objects such as business partner, contract account and material
• Expert experience of S/4HANA is a must, with in-depth knowledge of Business Partner and Material Master Data Models
• Experience/familiarity of integration technologies and methods for integrating MDG with SAP and non-SAP applications, such as SAP-PO/CPI, Kafka Event Streaming and REST API
• Proven experience with managing complex stakeholders and ability to influence without authority
• Experience in working with Agile, Scrum and waterfall delivery models, specifically using Jira for user story delivery, from initial backlog, through to story refinement and FS development
• Good problem solving & communication skills with a collaborative mindset across business functions
• An Agile mindset & open to change & ability to work in ambiguous environment
• Very strong communication and collaboration skills
• A Structured, highly analytical mind-set and excellent problem-solving skills
• A Highly motivated consultant with the ability work well under pressure
• An individual who respects the opinion of others yet can drive a decision though the team
• Flexibility to work on different time-zones
• Cultural understanding and experienced working and leading in multi-cultural teams
• Bachelor's/master's Degree in Finance or IT related discipline
• The ability to multi-task and work on multiple MDG user stories concurrently in a high paced environment

MDG Specific expertise required in the following areas:

. Data Model extensions & standard, specifically for MDG-BP/C/S, MDG-M, MDG-F

. Governance Process Modelling.

. Process modelling BRF+ WF and relatedBAdIimplementations.

. UI modelling changes/ enhancements.

. DRF set up and monitoring Replication setup and enhancement using IDoc .

. Replication setup and enhancement using Proxy.

. Any other proxy/ web service integration experience.

. Inbound integration into MDG system.

. Search and duplicate check enhancements.

. Derivations and Validations (BRF andBAdibased)

. Consolidation and mass processing.
