Job Title: Freelance SAP MDG Architect – Interview Panelist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced SAP MDG Architect to join our expert interview panel as a freelance technical interviewer. You will be responsible for evaluating and assessing candidates applying for SAP MDG Architect and SAP MDG Consultant positions. The ideal panelist should possess deep expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), including architecture, customization, and integration with S/4HANA, and should be capable of identifying top-tier talent through technical interviews.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured technical interviews for SAP MDG Architect and Consultant roles.
- Evaluate candidates on:
- MDG architecture and solution design
- End-to-end MDG implementations (Customer, Vendor, Material, BP domains)
- MDG customizations: BRF+, data modeling, UI/FPM configuration, workflow
- Integration with S/4HANA and ECC using SOA, IDocs, OData, REST/SOAP, AIF
- Data replication, governance framework, and enhancement techniques (AMDP, BADI, CDS, etc.)
- Assess hands-on skills in ABAP, BOPF, WebDynpro, and MDG APIs.
- Test practical knowledge of data quality, validation, and governance best practices.
- Ask scenario-based and problem-solving questions to evaluate real-world expertise.
- Provide feedback and ratings for each candidate, based on pre-defined criteria.
- Prepare brief assessment summaries highlighting strengths, improvement areas, and fitment.
- Collaborate with the recruitment or project team to define evaluation standards and success profiles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of SAP experience, including 5+ years in SAP MDG architecture and implementation.
- Expertise in:
- SAP MDG Central Governance, Consolidation, Mass Processing
- Data modeling and domain-specific master data (Material, BP, Customer, Supplier)
- Workflow configuration, BRF+, FPM, and UI modeling
- Integration using SOA, AIF, ODATA, REST, SOAP
- Hands-on experience in ABAP enhancements, BADI, BAPI, and MDG APIs.
- Familiarity with Fiori Apps, WebDynpro, and Floorplan Manager.
- Strong understanding of master data structures in both ECC and S/4HANA.
- Proven ability to evaluate both functional and technical capabilities in MDG.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience conducting technical interviews is highly desirable.
Preferred Certifications:
- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Master Data Governance
- SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP with SAP NetWeaver / S/4HANA (Preferred)
- Certifications in S/4HANA, SAP Data Management, or Integration Suite (Plus)
