Sap Materials Management Consultant

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic SAP MM Professional to join our client in Mohali, a large global MNC that is rapidly expanding its SAP team and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support end-to-end SAP MM project implementations, rollouts, and post-go-live support engagements.
• Gather, analyze, and map business requirements into optimal SAP MM functional specifications and configuration designs.
• Manage complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles, including Purchasing, Inventory Management, Goods Movements, Valuation, and Invoice Verification.
• Build, configure, and maintain robust data exchange channels using IDocs and FTP-based interfaces.
• Collaborate with technical teams using ABAP debugging to troubleshoot custom programs, enhancements, and workflow issues.
• Drive cross-functional integration between SAP MM and complementary modules such as SAP QM, SD, PP, and FI/CO.
• Prepare comprehensive business process documentation, functional design specifications, testing scripts, and user training materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Core Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of SAP MM configurations (Master Data, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Physical Inventory, and Account Determination).
• Interface & Integration: Strong hands-on experience with IDoc processing, EDI/FTP interface troubleshooting, and SAP QM integration.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to perform basic ABAP debugging to trace logic, isolate defects, and design functional specs for custom developments (RICEF objects).
• Process Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of vendor evaluation, material master lifecycle, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and GR/IR settlement.
• Problem-Solving & Soft Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities, strong client-facing communication skills, and a track record of independent, high-quality solution delivery.
