SAP IBP IBO/OBP AMS Support - Job Description

Job Summary

• ExperiencedSAP IBP Consultantwith strong knowledge ofIBP Order-Based Planning (OBP/IBO)for AMS support and enhancement projects.

• Responsible for supporting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing SAP IBP planning processes.

• Work closely with business users, supply planners, SAP functional teams, and technical teams to resolve incidents and implement enhancements.

• Support end-to-end planning processes acrossSAP IBP, S/4HANA, and integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• ProvideL2/L3 AMS supportfor SAP IBP and Order-Based Planning processes.

• SupportSAP IBP OBP/IBOplanning processes and troubleshoot production issues.

• Monitor and resolve incidents related to planning, order data, supply, demand, and integration.

• Analyze and resolve issues related toOrder-Based Planning runs and planning results.

• Support configuration and maintenance of IBP planning models and planning processes.

• Troubleshoot issues related to:

  • Supply planning

  • Demand planning

  • Inventory planning

  • Order-based planning

  • Response and supply planning

  • Demand and supply matching

  • Product-location planning

• Monitor and troubleshoot integration betweenSAP IBP and SAP S/4HANA/ECC.

• Support data transfer throughCPI-DS, SAP Integration Suite, or relevant integration technologies.

• Analyze master data and transactional data inconsistencies.

• Supportreal-time integration and batch data loads.

• Monitor integration jobs and resolve failed data loads.

• Performroot cause analysis (RCA)for recurring incidents.

• Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and change requests within agreedSLA timelines.

• Support enhancements and approved configuration changes.

• Participate inSIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployment.

• Prepare functional specifications, test scenarios, and support documentation.

• Coordinate with SAP IBP, SD, MM, PP, S/4HANA, integration, and business teams.

• Identify opportunities forprocess optimization and automation.

• Participate in regular AMS status calls and provide incident/status reports.

• Support knowledge transfer and maintain knowledge-base documentation.

Required Experience

• 5-10 years of SAP IBP experience, depending on role level.

• Strong hands-on experience withSAP IBP and OBP/IBO.

• Experience inSAP IBP AMS/support projects.

• Good understanding of supply planning and order-based planning processes.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC integration.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience working with global business users and cross-functional teams.

• Good knowledge of incident, problem, and change-management processes.

Preferred Skills

• SAP IBP certification.

• Strong SAP S/4HANA planning knowledge.

• Experience withCPI-DS / SAP Integration Suite.

• Knowledge of SAP PP/MM/SD integration.

• Experience in global rollout or implementation projects.

• Exposure to SAP IBP Demand Planning and Inventory Planning.

• Experience working in ITIL/Agile AMS environments.
