We are seeking a detail-oriented SAP IBP Configuration Specialist to support the technical build and maintenance for a client's enhancement project. In this role, you will act as a core technical resource, translating high-level architectural designs into specific system configurations, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring the stability of our SAP IBP models.
Key Responsibilities (Technical Build & Support)
- Build & Configuration: Execute the technical setup of Planning Areas, Master Data Types, and Attributes based on provided functional specifications.
- Key Figure Maintenance: Build and test complex Key Figure calculations, including the configuration of disaggregation logic and helper key figures.
- Planning View Development: Create and maintain Excel UI templates for planners, ensuring correct formatting, local members, and efficient data load times.
- Data Integration Execution: Support the mapping and monitoring of data flows using SAP CI-DS (Cloud Integration for Data Services); troubleshoot interface errors between IBP and S/4HANA/ECC.
- Algorithm Support: Configure and run Statistical Forecast models and Supply Heuristics under the guidance of the Lead Architect to validate output accuracy.
- s & Dashboards: Build Custom s and Analytics Charts in the Web UI to support visibility for business users.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of configuration changes (the Golden Configuration document) and logic flows to ensure system transparency.
Required Technical Skills
- SAP IBP Proficiency: 2–4 years of hands-on experience specifically within the Model Configuration and Data Integration apps.
- Calculation Logic: Strong ability to write and debug Key Figure expressions and understand calculation chains across different planning levels.
- Excel Add-In: Advanced skills in the SAP IBP Excel Add-In, including template management and troubleshooting connection issues.
- Data Troubleshooting: Experience identifying and fixing Master Data inconsistencies that cause planning job failures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Working Model: Proven experience working as an offshore resource in a global delivery model, with strong English communication skills.
- Environment: Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps for tracking configuration tasks and bug fixes is a plus.
