Job Summary:

The SAP HCM Functional Consultant is responsible for end‑to‑end functional ownership of SAP HCM related changes, from requirement analysis and solution design through configuration support, SIT execution, functional sign‑off, and coordination with downstream Data Warehouse (BODS/DWH) and Power BI teams. This role acts as the functional authority and single point of accountability on the HCM side for demands, ideas, incidents, and reporting enablement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as Functional SME for SAP HCM and related HCM data structures.

* Perform functional analysis of business requirements, demands (DMND), and ideas (IDEA).

* Define functional logic, data definitions, and solution approaches aligned with SAP best practices.

* Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) including test scenarios, validation, and evidence.

* Provide formal functional sign‑off for SIT prior to UAT and production movement.

* Coordinate with SAP S/4, BODS, and DWH teams to ensure correct functional implementation.

* Act as the functional bridge between SAP HCM and downstream reporting (DWH / Power BI).

* Validate data readiness before handover to reporting teams.

Communicate delivery status, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders.

* Support governance discussions related to HCM data and reporting accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualification:

* Strong SAP HCM functional expertise.

* Experience with SAP S/4 HANA HCM, data integration, and enterprise reporting landscapes.

* Medium HCM ABAP knowledge.

* Medium DWH/SQL knowledge is expected.

* Proven experience leading SIT and functional approvals.

* Strong stakeholder communication.

* Ability to work independently with end‑to‑end functional ownership and proactivity.

* Be able to build functional documents that translate SAP language to Business language to help BI Developers build processes based on that.

Role Scope:

*Functional owner for SAP HCM changes.

*Accountable for SIT readiness and functional sign‑off.

*Advisory authority for HCM data readiness for reporting.

*Does not own Power BI development but controls functional handover.
