Role Overview
- Must be fluent in English, including speaking, writing, and reading.
- Assignment length is 6 months, with reassessment thereafter; extension is likely.
- Experience in ERP and SAP data migration, with a mix of business and technical exposure, but stronger emphasis on the business side.
- Must be independent, a strong critical thinker, and able to communicate with confidence.
- Will work across multiple domains, including product, material, supplier, customer, and finance.
Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.
- Support data preparation for data conversion and migration, including moving or extending master data across systems or organizational structures.
- Lead or coordinate master data cleansing efforts across multiple functional teams and workstreams.
- Support data standardization, harmonization, and localization of requirements.
- Perform SAP S/4 master data value mapping and data construction.
- Coordinate cross-workstream data element requirements, design, and value mapping.
- Create test data and support data validation.
- Investigate bugs and support solutioning.
- Support change management and training activities.
- Support Master Data Governance (SAP MDG) and Profisee processes and tools used to create and maintain master data records on an ongoing basis.
- Gather and document local functional requirements.
- Align local requirements with the global solution.
- Supervise outsourced test script development and execution.
- Coordinate functional requirement alignment across upstream and downstream platforms.
- Create test master data and support testing of the MDG process and tool.
- Investigate bugs and support solutioning.
- Support change management and training activities.
- Support cutover and hypercare activities.
- Manage project tasks using tools such as ADO, Target Process, Clarity, Jira, and Excel.
- Update task status and provide commentary as needed.
- Monitor for new tasks or dependencies and take appropriate action.
- Maintain key project documentation, primarily including data definition documents, field mapping design documents, and functional design documents.
- Assist lead consultants in keeping documentation accurate, current, and comprehensive.
Qualifications / Education / Experience Required
- BA or BS in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in master data management, preferably within a consumer products company.
- Strong understanding of master data and transactional data processes, architecture, hierarchies, relationships, and interdependencies.
- SAP MDG CRUD process and workflow functional design/testing experience.
- Data quality functional rule design and testing experience.
- Fiori UI functional design experience.
- Technical experience with data governance tools is a plus, but candidates with only technical experience are not suitable.
- Operational experience in master data standardization, cleansing, and harmonization.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, while also able to understand the bigger picture.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to question assumptions and challenge existing practices to drive improvement, with strong abstract thinking skills.
- Demonstrated multicultural experience working across businesses, functions, regions, countries, and cultures.
- Strong listening skills.
- Fluent in English required; additional languages preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to travel by ground and air up to 25%, primarily internationally.
