Experience: 6–10 years SAP FI with strong GL expertise
Role Summary
The SAP GL Consultant will support global finance teams with configuration, issue resolution, enhancements, and monthend close activities across SAP S/4HANA or ECC GL processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support GL master data, posting rules, validations/substitutions, and financial close processes.
- Work with Universal Journal (ACDOCA), parallel ledgers, document splitting, and currency types.
- Provide offshore support for monthend close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Troubleshoot GL posting issues, integration errors, and crossmodule impacts.
- Prepare functional specs for enhancements and collaborate with ABAP teams.
- Support testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and production deployments.
- Work closely with onsite U.S. teams for daily support and project deliverables.
Required Skills
- Strong SAP FIGL configuration experience.
- Good understanding of integration with AP, AR, AA, CO, MM, SD.
- Experience in issue analysis, debugging, and rootcause identification.
- Excellent communication for onsite–offshore coordination.
