Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP PPDS Consultant with 6–8 years of expertise in SAP APO PPDS, S/4HANA Embedded PPDS, and SAP IBP Response & Supply. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and configuration experience across Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Supply Planning, and manufacturing integration processes.
The role involves leading solution design, implementation, rollout, and support activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end SAP PPDS implementation, rollout, upgrade, and AMS engagements.
- Gather business requirements and design scalable planning and scheduling solutions.
- Configure and optimize SAP PPDS functionalities including:
- Product Heuristics
- Detailed Scheduling Planning Board
- PP/DS Optimizer
- Capacity Planning
- Setup Matrix
- Production Planning Run
- Alerts and Exception Management
- Configure and support CIF integration between ECC/S/4HANA and APO/PPDS environments.
- Design and support production planning, sequencing, and scheduling processes.
- Collaborate with SAP PP, MM, SD, QM, EWM, and other cross-functional teams.
- Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT support, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
- Support cutover planning, go-live, hypercare, and post-production support.
- Prepare functional specifications and work closely with development teams for enhancements.
- Conduct client workshops, solution demonstrations, user training, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to presales, estimations, and solution discussions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of SAP Supply Chain Planning experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP APO PPDS and/or S/4HANA Embedded PPDS.
- Minimum 2–3 end-to-end implementation projects in APO PPDS or S/4HANA PPDS.
- Strong understanding of:

- Experience in:
- S/4HANA Embedded PPDS
- CIF Master Data & Transaction Data Integration
- Planning Strategies & Heuristics
- Resource Planning & Optimization
- PPDS Alert Monitoring & Exception Handling
- Good knowledge of integration with SAP PP, MM, SD, QM, and EWM.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in AMS/support engagements is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field.
- SAP APO PPDS, SAP IBP, or SAP S/4HANA certification preferred.
- Exposure to SAP IBP Supply Planning and Response & Supply modules.
- Experience working in global delivery and client-facing environments.
Good to Have
- Experience in S/4HANA transformation or migration programs.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications related to PPDS.
- Exposure to Advanced Planning and Optimization best practices.
- Presales, solution architecture, or consulting experience.
