About the Role:
Hexad is looking for an experienced SAP PP & QM Functional Consultant to support ongoing SAP support, enhancement, and optimization activities. The ideal consultant will have strong hands-on expertise in Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules, with a solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing and quality processes. This is an onsite freelancing opportunity based out of our Bengaluru office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide functional support and enhancements for SAP PP and QM modules
- Handle incident management, issue resolution, and change requests in support environments
- Configure and support:
- PP: Master data, MRP, production orders, capacity planning, and scheduling
- QM: Inspection lots, quality planning, quality notifications, results recording, and usage decisions
- Work closely with business users to understand requirements and translate them into SAP solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, FICO) for seamless module integration
- Prepare functional documentation including:
- Business requirement documents
- Functional specifications
- Configuration documents and user guides
- Coordinate with ABAP teams for enhancements, debugging, and issue resolution
- Support system testing (unit testing, UAT) and assist end users during go-live and post-go-live phases
- Ensure smooth day-to-day SAP operations with proactive support and user guidance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP and QM modules
- Strong functional knowledge of:
- PP: MRP, BOM, routing, production orders, capacity planning
- QM: Inspection types, inspection lots, quality notifications, quality certificates
- Good understanding of PP–QM–MM–SD–FICO integration
- Experience working in support and enhancement projects
- Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow / BMC Remedy is preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment
- SAP PP or QM certification is an added advantage
