Job Description

Your Role:

The Functional Consultant develops a deep understanding of how business processes are executed across one or more ERP modules, and advises on possible solutions for realising business requirements in the ERP. They collaborate closely with Business stakeholders to elicit business requirements, configuring and testing the solution in relevant ERP modules.

Main Responsibilities:

The Functional Consultant - Engineering and PLM Integration supports engineering-related ERP processes with a strong focus on integration between external PLM/PDM systems and ERP. Responsible for functional design and support of material, BOM, Document and Engineering Change Processes, including bespoke solutions and certified SAP add-ons. The role requires close collaboration with the engineering, manufacturing and IT teams to ensure robust end to tend engineering data and process integration into ERP. Knowledge of the MM Module of SAP, along with interfaces is a must.

Knowledge of workflow creation, management and maintenance is important for the role.

Product Strategy Support

  • Support the Product Owner in realising the Product strategy through incremental improvements to the Product, designing business scenarios and use cases for execution on relevant ERP modules
  • Guide the Product team to understand ERP-related business needs and identify the best options for delivering the solution in ERP

Product Development

  • Elaboration, analysis, and documentation of ERP-related requirements (e.g., features, user stories)
  • Pro-actively propose enhancements and improvements to better support new and existing processes in the ERP system
  • Identify, configure, and test relevant ERP modules to realise the documented requirements
  • Preparation and delivery of ERP module user guides and training materials to end users and support teams
  • Design of business scenarios, process flows, and use cases to maximise Product adoption/value
  • Identification of relevant security and compliance requirements that need to be adhered to as part of Product development

Product Training

  • Enable Product adoption by delivering Product training to end users or other relevant stakeholders (e.g., support teams)

Application Management

  • Provide escalated support for resolution of incidents related to ERP configuration
  • Handle changes or emergency transports as needed for high priority issues

To succeed, you will need:

  • Strong business domain knowledge and business acumen, familiar with IT standards and controls
  • Business process model and notational standards

Technology


  • Strong understanding of ERP technologies with deep experience in one or multiple ERP modules (e.g., SAP SD)
  • Experience in configurating and configuring and customising ERP (e.g., master data)
  • Abreast of latest ERP developments and opportunities/risks they present to the business domain
  • Basic knowledge of software engineering, information risk, security guidelines, and architecture standards
  • Strong understanding of requirements elicitation and management techniques

Problem Solving


  • Experience in analysing and breaking down problems and information using structured frameworks and methodologies
