FPA Consultant

Skill Cluster SAP FPA SAC Functional

Role Purpose

Lead the finance process workstream and act as the primary bridge between FPA stakeholders and the SAP Analytics Cloud delivery team Translate Capital Management requirements into practical controlled and auditable planning processes

Key Responsibilities

Lead discovery and design workshops with FPA Finance Operations PMO project owners and other business stakeholders

Assess current budgeting forecasting capital resource planning actuals reconciliation labor capitalization contingent worker spend and project cash flow processes

Document current state and future state processes business requirements process flows decision logs business rules and acceptance criteria

Define planning dimensions assumptions drivers KPIs input requirements reporting views approval points and financial control requirements

Guide the design of project funding committed planned and unallocated budget views monthly forecast refreshes variance analysis and management reporting

Support the definition and validation of SOP employee labor capitalization and related calculation or reconciliation requirements

Work with the SAC Planning SME and Architect to translate business requirements into planning models workflows stories and data actions

Prepare business scenarios and expected results for system integration testing and user acceptance testing

Coordinate business validation and reconciliation of budgets forecasts actuals and reports against agreed source data

Support training demonstrations UAT readiness cutover preparation user adoption and post deployment stabilization

Track functional risks open decisions dependencies and business actions and escalate items that may affect scope schedule or solution quality

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong FPA knowledge across budgeting forecasting variance analysis management reporting and financial modelling

Experience with capital project planning project cost management labor capitalization and spend forecasting

Working knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud Planning and SAP finance data structures

Ability to facilitate workshops and communicate with finance and technology stakeholders

Strong documentation analytical reconciliation and issue resolution capabilities

Experience Profile

Typically 8 or more years of experience in FPA financial planning or finance transformation

Experience in at least two enterprise planning implementations is preferred

Experience supporting SAC Planning capital management or project based financial planning is preferred

Role Purpose

Own the end to end architecture of the SAP Analytics Cloud solution and provide design authority across planning analytics security integration environment management performance and technical governance

Key Responsibilities

Define the target solution architecture for SAC Planning and Analytics within the Capital Management landscape

Translate business and non functional requirements into architecture principles solution components and integration patterns

Define the planning model strategy including dimensions hierarchies measures versions currencies data granularity and model boundaries

Establish design standards for stories analytic applications where applicable data actions advanced formulas calendars workflows and reusable components

Define the connectivity and data flow architecture across SAC SAP Datasphere SAP S4HANA and SAP Integration Suite

Own SAC security architecture including roles teams data access controls segregation of duties considerations and access governance

Define environment transport release and deployment approaches across development test and production landscapes

Review detailed functional and technical designs and ensure alignment with SAP standards and approved project architecture

Lead performance engineering for models stories data loads calculations and user interactions

Provide technical direction to SAC Planning Datasphere and Integration consultants and resolve cross workstream design issues

Maintain architecture decisions technical risks dependencies and non functional requirement traceability

Support cutover production readiness hypercare and transition to the support organization
