Job Description – SAP FICO Consultant

Location : Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune (Hybrid)

Notice period : Immediate joiner or serving notice period

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant (8+ years) with a strong command of FICO processes and configuration, demonstrated through past project experience. An accounting background is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather business requirements and provide both conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs.
• Perform necessary SAP configurations and write detailed specifications for custom program development.
• Conduct testing, coordinate transport to production, and provide post-go-live support.
• Create and deliver presentations with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in the high-tech or software industry is preferred.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Strong domain knowledge (e.g., accounting entries).
2. Expertise in key FICO modules such as AP, AR, GL, AA, Banking, and EBS.
3. Working knowledge of iDocs and interfaces.
4. Experience on custom developments.
5. Minimum two full-cycle implementation/rollout experiences.
6. Experience in company code rollouts.
7. Good understanding of SAP PLC (Project Life Cycle phases).
8. Excellent Communication Skills
9. Strong understanding of Margin Analysis (Account-Based CO‑PA) concepts in SAP S/4HANA and its differences from costing-based CO‑PA (classic).
10. Knowledge of revenue and cost flow from SD, FI, MM, and Production into Margin Analysis.
11. Strong understanding of Product Costing concepts in SAP, including standard cost estimates and actual costing.
12. Familiarity with Material Ledger (ML) activation and its role in Actual Costing in SAP S/4HANA.
13. Familiarity with CO period-end and year-end closing activities, including overhead calculation, activity allocation, cost centre assessments, internal /production orders settlement, and WIP calculation, Result analysis, Project system settlement.
14. Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting CO background jobs and resolving closing-related errors.
