SAP FICO SME | S/4HANA Transformation | India | Remote Contract

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO SME to support a major SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation programme while ensuring the stability and continuous improvement of the existing finance landscape. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior SAP Finance consultant with strong transformation experience across migration, integrations, testing, and cutover activities.

About You

You are a hands-on SAP Finance specialist with deep expertise in SAP FI/CO, ECC support, and S/4HANA transformations. You have experience working on finance modernization programmes, collaborating with business stakeholders, and supporting complex migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support SAP FICO production operations, incidents, service requests, and enhancements.
• Partner with finance stakeholders to deliver business-focused SAP solutions.
• Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration activities, testing cycles, and cutover execution.
• Support and remediate SAP and non-SAP/3rd-party integrations as part of the transformation programme.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, MM, SD, and PP.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, defect management, and continuous process improvements.
  
  

Required Experience

• 8+ years of SAP FICO experience across SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Strong hands-on FI/CO configuration, master data, and support expertise.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Proven S/4HANA migration experience (Greenfield and/or Brownfield).
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC to S/4HANA Finance transformation concepts.
• Experience with Margin Analysis (Account-Based COPA) and migrations from Costing-Based COPA.
• Knowledge of Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and New General Ledger.
• Experience with New Asset Accounting.
• Data migration experience within SAP transformation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of SD-FI and MM-FI integrations.
• Experience with cutover management, test management, and defect management.
• Experience with Jira, qTest, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
• Exposure to non-SAP and 3rd-party integrations.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• Experience in global transformation programmes.
• Awareness of AI use cases within Finance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
