About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Director to lead our Finance & Controlling (FICO) function within SAP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, overseeing SAP FICO implementations, ensuring seamless integration with business processes, and managing a team of SAP professionals. This role requires a strong blend of business acumen, SAP expertise, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the SAP FICO function across the organization.
- Lead large-scale SAP FICO implementations, rollouts, and support projects.
- Partner with senior business leaders (CFO, Finance, Operations) to align SAP solutions with organizational goals.
- Oversee integration of FICO with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, HCM, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements in SAP.
- Drive continuous improvement in SAP finance processes, reporting, and analytics.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with SAP implementation partners.
- Mentor and lead a team of SAP consultants, analysts, and managers.
- Establish governance, best practices, and KPIs for FICO performance and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive SAP FICO experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Strong functional knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, and Product Costing.
- Proven experience in leading end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations.
- Solid understanding of financial compliance, taxation, IFRS, and GAAP principles.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to drive digital transformation and financial automation through SAP.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Technology (MBA preferred).
- SAP certification in FICO / S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.
