Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Finance & Controlling, Taxation, SAP CO-PA, FSCM, and S/4HANA Finance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-wide finance solutions. The candidate should possess deep functional knowledge of financial accounting, controlling, profitability analysis, credit management, and finance transformation programs within SAP S/4HANA environments.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, finance teams, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable and compliant finance solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

SAP FICO Solution Design & Implementation :

  • Lead the design, architecture, configuration, and implementation of SAP FICO solutions across multiple business units and geographies.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP Finance solutions.
  • Drive end-to-end implementation activities including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Ensure SAP solutions adhere to organizational standards, governance policies, and industry best practices.

Financial Accounting (FI)

  • Configure and support General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, and Financial Closing processes.
  • Design and maintain organizational structures including Company Codes, Business Areas, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, and Chart of Accounts.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Configure and support financial reporting requirements and statutory compliance processes.

Taxation

  • Implement and support taxation requirements within SAP environments.
  • Configure indirect tax processes including GST, VAT, withholding tax, and other regional tax requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local and global tax regulations.
  • Work with finance and compliance teams to support audits and statutory reporting requirements.

Controlling (CO)

  • Design and configure Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Profitability Analysis.
  • Support budgeting, planning, allocations, settlements, and cost management processes.
  • Drive management reporting and profitability reporting initiatives.

SAP CO-PA (Profitability Analysis)

  • Architect and implement both Costing-Based and Account-Based CO-PA solutions.
  • Design profitability analysis models, characteristics, value fields, derivation rules, and reporting structures.
  • Optimize profitability reporting and margin analysis processes.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to improve business visibility through advanced reporting and analytics.

SAP FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management)

  • Design and implement SAP FSCM components including :
  • Credit Management
  • Collections Management
  • Dispute Management
  • Treasury and Risk Management
  • Bank Communication Management
  • Support credit risk assessment, collection strategies, dispute resolution workflows, and cash management processes.
  • Improve working capital management and financial process efficiency.

SAP S/4HANA Finance

  • Lead S/4HANA Finance transformation and migration initiatives.
  • Implement and support :
  • Central Finance
  • Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
  • New General Ledger
  • Parallel Accounting
  • Document Splitting
  • Financial Closing Cockpit
  • Drive finance modernization programs leveraging S/4HANA capabilities.
  • Support migration assessments, readiness evaluations, and conversion activities.

Integration Management

  • Drive seamless integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules including :
  • Sales & Distribution (SD)
  • Materials Management (MM)
  • Project Systems (PS)
  • Production Planning (PP)
  • SAP FSCM
  • Ensure end-to-end process consistency and financial data accuracy across integrated business processes.

Business Consulting & Stakeholder Management

  • Conduct blueprint workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement gathering workshops.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend best-fit SAP solutions.
  • Collaborate with finance leaders, business users, and project stakeholders.
  • Provide functional leadership and advisory support throughout project lifecycles.

Data Migration & Reporting

  • Support finance data migration activities including master data and transactional data migration.
  • Define reconciliation strategies and data validation procedures.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, reports, forms, and workflows.
  • Support reporting solutions using SAP standard and custom reporting tools.

Testing & Deployment

  • Prepare functional specifications and support technical development activities.
  • Lead Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities.
  • Support cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Resolve production issues and provide ongoing application support.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 613 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO implementation and support projects.
  • Strong expertise in SAP FI modules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and Financial Closing.
  • Extensive experience in SAP CO including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profit Center Accounting, and CO-PA.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP Taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in SAP FSCM modules such as Credit Management, Collections Management, and Dispute Management.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, upgrades, migrations, or transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of Universal Journal, Central Finance, and New GL concepts.
  • Experience integrating SAP FICO with SD, MM, PS, PP, and other SAP modules.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
