Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior SAP FICO Consultant with a robust background, including 10+ years of dedicated SAP FICO experience, and critically, 2-4 years of recent, hands-on experience within the Fashion and Retail industries. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in configuring, implementing, and optimizing SAP FICO modules to meet the unique financial and controlling requirements of fashion and retail businesses. This role demands a strong understanding of industry-specific financial processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of SAP FICO implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, from strategic planning and requirements gathering to blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Design, configure, and optimize SAP FICO functionalities, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and Project Systems (PS).
- Specialize in adapting SAP FICO solutions to the specific needs of the Fashion and Retail sectors, such as:
- Retail-specific accounting processes (e.g., sales audit, POS integration, merchandise accounting).
- Seasonality and inventory valuation methods relevant to fashion.
- Omni-channel financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Costing methodologies for fashion products (e.g., standard cost, moving average).
- Integration with SAP Fashion Management Solution (FMS) or SAP Apparel and Footwear Solution (AFS) for financial data flow.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders (Finance, Controlling, Sales, Supply Chain) to understand their financial requirements and translate them into effective SAP FICO solutions.
- Develop functional specifications for custom developments (enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms) and work effectively with technical teams (ABAP developers).
- Conduct comprehensive system testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide in-depth end-user training and documentation.
- Provide expert-level support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the stability, integrity, and performance of the SAP FICO system.
- Stay abreast of the latest SAP FICO functionalities, industry best practices, and evolving financial regulations relevant to Fashion and Retail.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and business users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant, including multiple full lifecycle implementations.
- 2-4 years of recent and demonstrable experience specifically within the Fashion and/or Retail industries, with a strong understanding of their unique financial processes and challenges.
- Proven expertise in SAP FICO configuration across all core modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-CCA, CO-PCA, CO-PA).
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and controlling concepts.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
